Slanted Cat Scratcher for Wall

The Angled Cat Scratcher is a useful twist on our standard Vertical Scratching Pole.

This is an excellent outlet for cats who are out of shape or have trouble climbing directly up a vertical scratching pole. Kitties love to scratch, no matter their physical needs!

Since the poles are modular, you can create an Angled Scratcher in whatever length will best suit cats of all sizes. A big cat scratching post needs to hold weight, and our brackets have been weight-tested to hold 65 lbs per pole.

Putting up a cat wall is near the top of the list of behaviorists' recommendations when dealing with behavioral issues in the home. Providing your cat with suitable options for scratching and stretching is a necessary source of enrichment and gives your cat an outlet for exercise. Build them a special area that’s specifically for them and promote them to use it with positive reinforcements like playtime and snacks. Our favorite healthy option is freeze-dried chicken, which can be broken off into small pieces and stretch snack time out a bit. Our Horizontal and Angled Poles can both be installed into a single stud, by installing the other mounting point into drywall with the included drywall anchors.

But if you know the distance your studs are spaced, we also have different specific size poles that fit both 16” and 24” stud spacing. Select your preference to see how the pole will fit on the wall. A benefit to installing both planks into wall studs is that if you decide to build onto the scratcher with the modular furniture, you are lined up for furniture that does need to be in a stud, like our cat hammocks.
